We’ve been telling stories here for nearly two years. If you read Coffee + Crumbs regularly, you've probably laughed or cried a few times. That's what we want, of course. We want to make you feel something when you visit this space. We want to encourage you, inspire you, challenge you, affirm you. We want to validate every feeling in your bones.
Since launching this space, some of our favorite e-mails that we've received have said some rendition of this: "Coffee + Crumbs has inspired me to write about my own mothering journey."
WE LOVE THAT.
We know you have a story to tell, and we know you have words to offer. Between completing summer bucket lists, planning vacations, signing your kids up for camp, and plowing through sunscreen and popsicles, you might be feeling like there's no time left to plan your own adventure.
But we say.....there's no time like the present.
Today we're inviting you to join us for Known Workshop Summer Camp, a month-long creative storytelling workshop.
We know it's hard to find the time and space to be creative, especially when your energy is constantly turned outwards. This course was designed to help you access the creative part of yourself, and summertime is actually a great season for this kind of creativity.
This workshop will take place online, so you can join from anywhere (Glamping? Beaching? Hanging out on the back patio sipping mojitos and watching the fireflies? So long as you have wifi, you’re good!). We know you have kids and jobs and laundry and perhaps a hundred other summer camps to schedule around, which is why there are no specific meeting times. You can join us every day during naptime or after bedtime, whether you live on the East Coast or the West Coast or an altogether different coast.
Each week will include stories, inspiration, readings and writing assignments led by the Coffee + Crumbs team. All workshop participants will be placed in a small group of five, allowing for personal one-on-one editing and feedback from one of the Coffee + Crumbs writers. You will have full access to the Coffee + Crumbs team via an online forum and private Facebook group for the duration of the month. Bring all your questions and prepare for great conversation (we can be quite the chatty bunch!).
Dates: July 1 - 31
Cost: $149 when you sign up by June 24th. Only 30 spots available.
Here's what past Known Workshop participants had to say:
"The most helpful part of the workshop was being surrounded by the words of women who are learning how to pursue their craft in the middle of very tiring and busy seasons (specifically motherhood). I loved hearing how everyone chases creativity and makes time to write, even when it seems like there's not enough time in the day to shower. The support and camaraderie were incredibly helpful to me."
"I wanted you all to know how much I loved the workshop and value what I learned. You made me a better writer and have convinced me it's worth investing in."
"This workshop was perfect for a working mom. I loved that we could sign in and access the lessons and discussion boards whenever we had time."
"This course was phenomenal. I was very impressed by the knowledge and wisdom that all of the C+C team members had to offer. It was such a joy and privilege to get to know the C+C writers on a more personal level."
"THANK YOU. You ladies really saved my heart from the hurt it was experiencing trying to write, write, write, when all I could do was stare at a blank Word document."
"I have never been a part of a writing workshop before so I had no idea what to expect but this exceeded any expectations I would have had. I learned so much about writing and so much about myself as a person and as a writer. I am sad it's over, but excited for what the future holds for my writing!"
"Assignments were clear, content was well thought out and well put together. This course forced me into more vulnerability and to write again, which I haven't done in years. It was very therapeutic for me."
"With the support I received from the C+C team during the Known workshop, I believe I can start living up to my potential as a writer. It's a great feeling."

(We do expect this course to sell out, so don't wait too long!)
“Summer, after all, is a time when wonderful things can happen to quiet people. For those few months, you’re not required to be who everyone thinks you are, and that cut-grass smell in the air and the chance to dive into the deep end of a pool give you a courage you don’t have the rest of the year. You can be grateful and easy, with no eyes on you, and no past. Summer just opens the door and lets you out.” – Deb Caletti
